The Marshall post will be up after the trip this weekend. It was a good trip, but Huntington is far away from literally anything. Things are shaping up nicely for this weekend's trip. The weather is probably going to be miserable on Friday and Saturday, but that's alright. The information below is not new, but a quick reminder about what this weekend's trip will look like. I'll put the Batsignal out there again for anyone who knows anything about these programs and stadiums to give me a shout if you want to meet up at the field. I've heard a little back about North Carolina, but could use more info on the other schools. I'm looking forward to the first officially sanctioned Project 119 trip South.
The tentative schedule for the trip looks like this:
Friday (26th):
Convince my boss I should leave work early (ed. note: Check.), head down I-95. I'll stop in at East Carolina before landing in Clemson, SC to sleep. I'm really excited about seeing Death Valley, and will do so the next morning.
Saturday (27th):
Start at Clemson in the morning and then head to USC. After this, things get a little murky. Since there are games at Wake Forest and NC State, I'm not sure what I am going to do while I run around the Research Triangle, etc. I'd like to make it to a game, so I may drop in on the Wake/UNC game or the NC State/Virginia game.
Sunday (28th):
Leave early and go wherever I haven't hit before heading off to Virginia Tech. I'm pretty excited about Lane Stadium and would obviously prefer seeing a game there, but I take what I can take.
I’m really excited about this trip since it’s been a few months since I’ve taken a full blown tour, and the stadiums on this leg are homes of some respectable programs. This also is likely to be the last all out trip of 2007, meaning that I’ve been able to visit somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 or so stadiums this year alone.
