Maryland: Byrd Stadium

Technically, Chavy Chase Field at Byrd Stadium, but the corporate sponsorship and naming of athletic facilities is too much to keep up with. Byrd Stadium is the site that I will most likely be attending a game this fall geographically. I'm not too interested in the ACC slate of games, but my options are limited since I am all but surrounded by the conference. The greatest thing for a Southern Ohio kid to see up at Byrd Stadium was Boomer Esiason's number all hung up. The worst thing for anyone to see on a football field is the following item found near the goal post:

Not sure what that is from that distance? Here, take a closer look:

So while the University of Cincinnati provides the necessary anatomy for all of your sexual needs, the University of Maryland takes the responsible route and provides the protection. Other than that, there weren't too many highlights at Byrd Stadium. There's another picture below that was outside medical facilities room near the locker rooms.

First Game: v. Navy, 1950

hi, cool site!

what maryland game are you going to?

Ralph is a great coach, he is the real deal! He really cares about his players education. We have lots of question marks on offense.

Have fun,

Fear the turtle!

I'm not quite sure yet. I figure that it is the geographically closest to my new zip code and that I will definitely want to see some new football this fall.

You may have a lot of question marks on offense, but it seems as though everyone has it together in the sack...
