Bowling Green: Doyt L. Perry Stadium

Doyt L. Perry, like many of the stadiums that we saw in April of 2007, was under some pretty major construction. The south end zone was getting new sod, and the north endzone was having a new complex installed behind it. The best part about the stadium is that it was opened on my birthday. Other than that, it kind of is the same as any other MAC field. No cool looking rocket out front allegedly pointed at a rival, just a solid home record. The Falcons are have around a .660 winning percentage at home which is really impressive considering their last MAC championship was in 1992. I cannot imagine trying to leave this place during game day, though. There are only a couple of exits, and they all lead to the one major road out of Bowling Green and onto I-75.

First Game: v. Dayton, 1966

Surface: Natural

when you saw the stadium, they weren't laying sod...they were pulling up the sod to put in grassy turf
