Peden Stadium is called the "Wrigley Field of College Football" which doesn't make all that much sense to me. I have never been inside of it, and it's kind of nice looking set among some trees and such, but I don't know about it being the Wrigley Field of College Football. Maybe if by "Wrigley Field" they mean "Old and Mostly Average" then they're right. It is kind of cool that they built it originally for $185,000. We saw this on our way home from a wedding that we went to in Marietta, OH in 2005.

In the case of Ohio University's Peden Stadium, the "Wrigley Field" reference is justified. Like Wrigley, Peden is quaint (constructed of bricks with a grassy "Victory Hill" behind the south end zone), old (opened in 1929, making it the oldest in the MAC and among the oldest in the nation)and scenic (backdrop of Appalachian foothills and the Hocking River). I suggest you make a trip to Athens next fall and check it out.
Thanks for repping for the Bobcats. I'm actually hoping to make a trip to Peden in the next couple of weeks as I migrate back to Cincinnati. Check back in early April for a hopeful update.
