
It's almost as if Miami University wasn't quite sure what to do with their football field, so they decided to kind of hide it in the woods outside of their college town. It's kind of awkwardly placed in I think what is best described as a "grove", even if I'm not completely sure if I can define the word "grove" for you. But what is kind of cool are all of the improvements that they have made on the stadium. They have a "Cradle of Coaches" dedication to all of the legendary coaches who's careers passed through the school.
I fixed the name mistake at the outset of this post, but I will not take the "grove" label back. I will though take some pictures here in the near future to honor all those Deadspin alum that have come before me...

As a life-long Miami fan, Yager Stadium to me is the perfect setting for a college football game on Saturdays, especially in the autumn when the leaves are changing.
It's certainly not as far off campus as some other schools.
You're right. I saw it first in the fall actually on my way to Husten Woods. I'm heading back there in a couple of weeks for pictures. I'm sure that I'll have more positive things to say in the near future...
